Semester Registrations
REGISTRATION FROZEN
If a student fails to renew the registration for each semester in the course of one month of the respective term,
his/her registration will be frozen.
ADVISORS AND SEMESTER REGISTRATIOS: A student advisor may contribute to the solutions of the
educational problems. For this purpose, advisors may help the students on registration, renewal of registration
and the selection of the courses at the beginning of each semester. Advisors will check the course selection
processes if they are against IBU regulations and procedures and keep them in legal status.
TOP STUDENTS: The student whose odd or even semester’s course grading average is 80 and above, with only one

together.

students with failed courses, can register utmost 7 courses with the priority given to the failed courses, if any.
SELECTING COURSES FROM UPPER SOMESTERS: Registering the courses from the upper semester(s) can be
performed starting from the second year i.e. after completing the first year common programme.
TURKISH STUDENTS: Turkish citizen students, who will not be successful from at least three courses from the
previous semesters second time, will be notified to the Turkish Embassy. In this case, their military duty will not be
delayed and they have to go to Turkey for their military service. They can stop their registration until they finish their
military service. They can continue their education when they complete their military service.
ATTENDANCE RULE: The attendance rule is 36% in overlapping courses and 72% for non-overlapping courses.
