Compulsory Military Service
The students who will have a university education abroad, thet have apply to the Turkish National Ministry of Education in Ankara or to the Turkish Consulates' Training Attachees at abroad to postpone their Compulsory Military services. The students can postpone their compulsory military duties as long as their edcuation periods which they will have (Language Education, associate degree, undergraduate, gradutate or sertificate programs). But it can be postponed until some age. It is 29 for university education and 33 for Phd education.
The necessary documents are follows to postpone the compulsary military service while receiving the special student status from the Turkish National Ministry of Education :
1. The form which received and filled out from Turkish National Ministry of Education.
2. Notar stamped two copies of school diploma which you have graduated.
3. The acceptance letter from the abroad University(Should be translated in to Turkish; both original letter and Turkish translation should be stamped by a notar).
4. Result sheet for Turkish Central University Entrance Exam (if applicable).
5. Notar stamped two copies of Turkish Identity Card.
6. Two copies of Compulsory Military Service Status report.
7. Six identity card size fotographs (6X9).
8. Resign form if he is a government employee.
