Scholarship Rules (17.10.2011)
Students can only attend the programs which they are registered. In accordance with the Executive Board decision, scholarship students cannot change their departments. Exception is allowed only for students from Turkey who do not achieve necessary points in examinations required to enrol a specific department at faculty according to YÖK (Yüksekö?ret?m Kurulu/Board of Higher Education of Turkey) rules.
1.Students, who receive scholarship as Macedonian citizens, are supposed to find their accommodations themselves.
2.Students from Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria and from other Balkan countries are obliged to find their dormitories and accommodations themselves. Our university can only advise them about possible accommodations. There isn't any direct relation between the dormitory and university management. Dormitory management observes their own rules in that pre-selected students are on scholarship, whereas some others are not granted scholarship for dormitories. These applications are out of university domain. The dormitories have the right not to admit some students even though they are on scholarship. In such cases, our university does not bear any responsibility. The dormitory fee is 100 euro for Turkish citizens and 60 euro for Balkan citizens.
3.Scholarship students must be the graduate of a 4-year high school. Otherwise, they cannot register.
4.Scholarship students' high school diploma average grade should be 3.5 or above.
5.Students, who do not have their original high school diploma, cannot register for university.
6.The students' scholarship will be cancelled, during university period, if they commit any disgraceful offense, if it is found out that a student is engaged in an illegitimate relationship, if they do not attend classes for two semesters in a row, if they are charged with police investigation due to an incident, when they are drunk or not, if they do not submit documents on time or if they do not register in time. The decision of cancellation by university management shall be notified to students in written form.
7.Scholarship Students attending preparatory school cannot register without paying 220 euro for English course books.
8.Scholarship students cannot have their registration completed without paying in cash 165 euro for residence permit and 130 euro for the equivalency certificate.
9.Scholarship students cannot have their registration completed without filling in 16-page registration form.
10.Scholarship students, in case they repeat courses, are not obliged to pay for only one course; second, third or more failed courses, they are required to pay the fees. Repeated course fee for Turkish student is 75 euro; for Balkan countries' students, it is 50 euro. Students cannot register if they do not pay for course fees.
