Diploma Denkligi
Cok degerli Hüner SENCAN Rektörüm. Bugün çok mutlu oldugum bir gün. YÖK (Yüksek Ögretim
Kurumu)'ten diplomamin denkligini aldim. Sizinle bunu paylasmak istedim. Diplomami almamda
emegi geçen tüm hocalarimdan Allah razi olsun. Hepsine sevgi ve saygilarimi sunuyorum.
Uluslararasi Balkan Üniversitesinde okuyan tüm ögrencilere de bu vesileyle selamlarimi
sunuyorum. Sartlari uygun olan tüm arkadaslarimin YÖK denkligini alacagina ve benim onlara
emsal teskil edecegimi bilmelerini istiyorum. Iyi ki IBU ögrencisi oldum. Basta siz degerli rektörüm
olmak üzere, emegi geçen tüm hocalarima, üniversite görevlilerine, IBU ögrencilerine sevgi ve

Graduation Pictures in Cap and Gowns

Our last year graduating students (43 students) need to have their pictures taken in cap and
gowns for the class composite. EXPRES PHOTO is a photographer’s shop at the entrance of Bit
Bazaar which has agreed to take two photographs each for the price of 200 denars. Pro-Rectors
and Faculty Deans are also acquired to go to the same photographer’s shop and have their
pictures taken in their academic attire. The costs of the photographs for the faculty deans will be
covered by the university. The photographer will give the students two pictures with the
dimensions of 9x13. Students who wish to have multiple photographs taken or ask for different
layouts, should do so only by a common consent with the photographer.

According to the university administration's decision the photographs will have a "digital frame
filter application". Students and faculty Deans should see their photographs as displayed in the
computer and like them before leaving the photographer’s shop. [At a later point, the objections
as to: I didn’t choose/like this photo will not be accepted.] The gown and the cap are available at
the photographer’s. The cap tassel should be placed on the left side of your cap and be at your
ear-level.

Students and faculty deans are to have their pictures taken at the photographer’s after 16:00 pm
on Thursday and on Friday. (For this purpose, the students are given a two-week’s period.) The
students will pay for their photos once they receive them. The class composite will be prepared by
the university. If the students wish to obtain an A3 sized class composite covered with a colored
cellophane, they need to pay an additional amount of 300 denars for which they are going to be
issued a receipt.

Students that would like to obtain the CD comprising of pictures taken during the graduation
ceremony will be able to get it for 200 denars for which they are going to be issued a receipt.
Male students, when having their pictures taken, and strongly reminded to wear a tie and be
dressed in nice and clean clothes. Female students should wear casual clothes that do not show
cleavage. Students wearing the headscarf should not remove it. Students, when having their
pictures taken, should attempt to smile and show a happy and joyful appearance. For all

For Turkish Students Only --- Üniversitemizin Tüm Bölümlerinin Tanimasi
04.01.2012 tarihi itibariyle Yönetim Kurulu Baskanimizdan aldigimiz son bilgiye göre üniversitemizin
tüm bölümleri yeterli ögrenci ve ögretim üyesi sayisina ulasmis olmamiz nedeniyle taninmis
bulunmaktadir. Ayrica ögrencilerimizin diplomalarinin akreditasyondan önce kayit olma gibi
sebepler yüzünden esdegerlik belgelerinin alinmamasi gibi bir sorunun çok büyük bir ihtimalle söz
konusu olmayacagi bildirilmistir. Diger ögrencilerimizin sorunlarinin da çözülmesi yönünde olumlu
çalismalar yapildigi, ögrencilerimizin kaygilanmamalari, bütün güçleriyle derslerine çalismalari
gerektigi ifade edilmistir. Saygilarimizla bütün ögrencilerimize duyururuz.

For Turkish Students Only --- Diploma Denkligi Islemlerinin Uzun Sürmesi
2011 Eylül ayinin sonunda ilk mezunlarimiz diplomalarini aldiktan sonra peyderpey olarak ve farkli
tarihlerde YÖK'e diploma denkligi için basvurmaya baslamislardir. Bazi velilerimiz aradan 3 ay
geçmesine ragmen bir gelisme olmadigini belirterek üniversite olarak bizim yapabilecegimiz bir sey
olup olmadigini sormaktadirlar. Bu konudaki süreçle ilgili olarak ögrencilerimizi sadece su konuda
bilgilendirebiliriz. Diger gelismeler üniversitemizin bilgisi ve yetkisi disinda gelismektedir: (1)
ögrenci Türkiyede herhangi bir resmi kuruma diplomasini verdigi zaman ilgili resmi kurum bu
diplomanin "gerçek" olup olmadigini arastirmak için ya disisleri bakanligina veya dogrudan
Makedonya'daki Türkiye Büyükelçiligine yazi yazip sormaktadir. (2) Üsküpteki Türkiye Büyükelçiligi
protokol geregi bu yaziyi Makedonya Disisleri Bakanligina göndererek onlara sormaktadir. (3)
Makedonya Disisleri Bakanligi, Makedonya Egitim Bakanilgina yazi yazarak bu kisinin gerçekten
üniversitede ögrenci olup olmadigini sormaktadir. (4) Makedonya Egitim Bakanligi da
üniversitemize yazi yazarak bu kisinin gerçekten üniversitemizden mezun olup olmadigini ve
mezunlar defterinde adinin kayitli olup olmadigini sormaktadir. (5) Biz bir yaziyla ögrencinin
üniversimize devam ettigini ve mezun oldugunu Egitim Bakanligina bildirmekteyiz. (6) Egitim
Bakanligi durumu Makedonya Disisleri Bakanligina bildirmektedir. (7) Makedonya Disisleri bakanligi
durumu Üsküp Türkiye Büyükelçiligine bildirmektedir. (8) Türkiye Büyükelçiligi eger kurum YÖK ise
dogrudan bu kuruma baska bir kurum ise Türkiye Disisleri bakanligina ve Türkiye Disisleri Bakanligi
da ilgili Türk resmi kurumuna durumu bildirmektedir. YÖK'te bu belge geldikten sonra diger belgeler
de tamam ise degerlendirme komisyonu toplanip diploma denkliginin verilip verilmeyecegine karar
vermektedir. Mühendislik Fakültelerinden Mezun olan ögrenciler ile Ingiliz Dili ve Amerikan
Edebiyati Bölümünden olan ögrencilerin Türkiyede ÖSYM tarafindan yapilacak baska bir sinava girip
basarili olmalari gerekmektedir. Bu güne kadar bu prosedür çerçevesinde 6 ögrenci için
Makedonya Egitim Bakanligina yazi yazilmistir. Eger diger ögrenciler de basvurmuslarsa evraklari
degisik kurum ve kademelerde bekliyor veya islem yapiliyor olabilir. Bu belgelerin nerede oldugunu
bilmemize imkan yoktur. Bize Makedonya Egitim Bakanligindan yazi geldiginde en geç ertesi gün
resmi yaziyi yazip bakanliga geri gönderiyoruz. Bu konuda ögrencilerimizden veya velilerimizden
gelebilecek ek bilgileri ve katkilari memnuniyetle karsilayip degerlendirecegimizi saygilarimizla
bilgilerinize sunariz.

AFTER GRADUATION DEMANDING THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS
If a graduating student demands that his/her original documents are given immediately, this
demand cannot be met without completing the "student leaving procedure". Student Leaving
Procedure can be completed in 5 working days. You can get  more information abut leaving

GRADUATION CERTIFICATE AND TRANSCRIPTS
Graduating students will be issued Graduation Certificate and transcripts in Macedonian.
Students are expected to translate these documents into their native language and
approved by notary and their own country embassy. Transcripts in English may not be valid
for their country. However, if applied, students can be issued English transcripts in stamp
and signature. The fee for each transcript is 100 denar and has to be deposited in bank.
Students’ graduation certificate costs also 100 denar and needs to be deposited in the bank.
The cost for diploma is 1200 denar. All payments will be made in the bank in advance.

EMAIL ADDRESSES
Students who have registered in the fourth year will receive some announcements regarding
graduation issues in their personal email addresses. However, some of the given email addresses
are not working or some students have given two e-mail addresses. 4th Year Students are asked
to send their active and frequently used email address to the Student Affairs Office at
ibu.student.office@gmail.com as soon as possible so that we can update your email database.

GRADUATION PROJECTS
On the basis of Article 37 of the Statute of the Private International Balkan University in Skopje,
the University Rectors Board at its session held on 26.10.2011 passed the following:
Graduation Project Topic Selection Dates: If a student after the final and make-up exams has
minimum 203 credits, he/she can register the graduation project at the beginning of the next
semester.
Graduation Project Submission Dates: Students can submit their graduation projects only after they
have successfully passed all courses. Students can submit their graduation projects at any time
except in the summer vacation period, i.e. 15th July - 31th August.
Graduation Project Defending Dates: Students can defend their graduation projects minimum one
month after the submission of their graduation projects.
