Description
Management in Public Administration is offered a thorough understanding of the processes and practices associated with the management of public sector organizations.
The program of Management in Public Administration consists of the relevant set of knowledge and skills required to function effectively in a managerial or executive role within such organizations.
The Program also includes a core of common classes and an emphasis program to prepare the student for work in a specific focus area of their choice, and provides in-depth exposure to the critical areas of executive and managerial focus common to middle and upper level management in all public organizations.
Educational aims
Graduates of the 4 years Management in Public Administration program will demonstrate knowledge of the theory and practice of:
- Ethics, accountability, and governance in public
service.
- Policymaking and intergovernmental relations.
- Strategic management; financial management;
human resources and labor relations
- Organizational development, leadership and
organizational change.
- Government, business, and civil society partnerships.
- Law and administrative process
- Public personnel succession planning.
- Policy research, analysis, and presentation.
Assessment of Management in Public Administration Outcomes
Data for the assessment will be collected from surveys (graduating students, alumni, and industry), selected courses, external mentors and peer reviews.
Fundamentals of Management in Public Administration exam subject scores, and student participation in research projects.
Learning outcomes
- An ability to provide the leadership and organizational
skills necessary to effectively manage change, quality,
productivity, and diversity in public service and non
profit organizations;
- An ability to analyze and evaluate public policies and
programs within dynamic political context at local,
national and international governance.
- An ability to develop collaborative professional
relationships and partnerships with consideration for the
legal, ethical and moral constraints that influence the
management of public service and non-profit
organizations.
- An ability to synthesize knowledge from the discipline
of management and public administration to form a
solid intellectual basis for a professional practice.
Career Opportunities
Career opportunities in the field of Management in Public Administration have expanded as interaction among nations has increased.
Many graduates will pursue careers with private and public sector organizations and non-profit organizations in the fields of marketing, finance, and business administration.
International careers in this area include opportunities in several departments of multinational corporations. Some graduates of the Management in Public Administration Program will pursue careers with international civic and nonpro?t organizations. In addition, there is an increasing demand for professionals with management in public administration backgrounds in the fields of management information technologies and research.
The program is accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Republic of Macedonia and Turkish Higher Education Council.

Management in Public Administration
