The success story of the International Balkan University began in 2006. The Foundation for Education and Culture “USKUP” was founded by a group of intellectuals and academicians (scholars) to establish the INTERNATIONAL BALKAN UNIVERSITY as a cultural bridge between the Balkans and Turkey, with the intent of increasing the quality level of human capital in the region.
As a provider of high-quality education, International Balkan University has adopted the mission of educating self-confident, multidimensional, socially responsible and globally competitive individuals. In addition, the university produces high-quality scientific research that will contribute to technological and economic development in the region. Asst. Emin Idrizi received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Language and Literature from University of Tetovo in 2010 and his Master of Arts (MA) in English Language Teaching from South East European University in 2014. He is currently pursuing a PhD degree in English Language and Literature at South East European University and his research is concerned with the application of corpora in language education.
Asst. Emin Idrizi started his work career back in 1999 when he was offered the position of linguist by TRW (later Northrop Grumman) in Kosovo. His main duties included: providing translation and interpretation services; assisting in various developmental and educational projects as well as humanitarian missions throughout Kosovo. Since 2011, he has been teaching at International Balkan University and his main positions have included:
– 2011-2014: Lecturer in the English Language School (ELS)
– 2014-2015: Coordinator of the English Language School (ELS)
– 2015-Present: Teaching Assistant in the Department of English Language Teaching (ELT)
He has attended various scientific conferences and has published several scientific papers in the field of language education, i.e. language teaching and learning. In the future, his primary focus of teaching and research will be on using technology in language pedagogy.
