The success story of the International Balkan University began in 2006. The Foundation for Education and Culture “USKUP” was founded by a group of intellectuals and academicians (scholars) to establish the INTERNATIONAL BALKAN UNIVERSITY as a cultural bridge between the Balkans and Turkey, with the intent of increasing the quality level of human capital in the region.
As a provider of high-quality education, International Balkan University has adopted the mission of educating self-confident, multidimensional, socially responsible and globally competitive individuals. Asst. Prof. Miroslav Kotevski is owner of the private company M2K ICT & Consulting d.o.o. Skopje, and he is part time professor at the Faculty of Engineering at IBU University in areas of digital electronics and microprocessor systems.
He completed his studies at University of “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in 1982 year. He advanced to M.Sc. at the University of Zagreb, Croatia in 1990 in the field of telecommunications and informatics with the topic “Synchronization in digital systems”. He gained MBA diploma at Sheffield University in 2004 with the interdisciplinary topic “Relationship between Service Quality and Customer Satisfaction in Telecommunication Business”. In 2011 he completed his PhD studies at the “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University, Mechanical Faculty, Department of Entrepreneurship and was awarded in PhD in Technical Science.
He starts to work in Makedonski Telekom in 1982 as engineer in the Development Laboratory. He became a head of Metrology Laboratory for time and frequency in 1985. As a director of International Switching systems (1989) he was deeply involved in projects for digitalization of the Macedonian telecommunication network. He led the first project in 1991 for digitalization of transit and international level of the network. With his team he introduced mobile operations in the telecommunication network in 1996. In period between 1993 and 1996 he had led and successfully completed a number of strategic projects in the area of telecommunications. He was awarded on position of Chief Technical Officer of the company in 1996. After company privatization in 2001 he was on different top management positions of the company. He left the company in December 2009 and founded his own consulting company at the beginning of 2010. He became part time professor at the IBU in September 2011.
