The success story of the International Balkan University began in 2006. The Foundation for Education and Culture “USKUP” was founded by a group of intellectuals and academicians (scholars) to establish the INTERNATIONAL BALKAN UNIVERSITY as a cultural bridge between the Balkans and Turkey, with the intent of increasing the quality level of human capital in the region.
As a provider of high-quality education, International Balkan University has adopted the mission of educating self-confident, multidimensional, socially responsible and globally competitive individuals. In addition, the university produces high-quality scientific research that will contribute to technological and economic development in the region. Assistant Professor Nikola Dacev holds a doctoral degree in legal sciences from the Faculty of Law Iustinianus Primus, University St. Cyril and Methodius, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. In 2015 he completed Ph.D. program defended his thesis: “Model of harmonized and parallel system of public and private health insurance in the Republic of Macedonia”. Prof. Dacev has experience in practice as he was previously worked in the banking sector, as a legal adviser in the legal affairs department and as a project coordinator for implementation and development of bank insurance; in a law office, as a lawyer and professional representative for industrial property. He has been working as a lecturer at Faculty of Law at International Balkan University (IBU) since 2015, and in 2017 he was elected as a full – time professor at IBU. Professor Dacev had published many scientific research papers in the field of law in international scientific journals and publications, proceedings from international conferences and domestic professional journals. His research activities are focused on insurance legislation, health care legislation, international agreements on e-commerce, civil law and its developments and many more.
