The success story of the International Balkan University began in 2006. The Foundation for Education and Culture “USKUP” was founded by a group of intellectuals and academicians (scholars) to establish the INTERNATIONAL BALKAN UNIVERSITY as a cultural bridge between the Balkans and Turkey, with the intent of increasing the quality level of human capital in the region.
As a provider of high-quality education, International Balkan University has adopted the mission of educating self-confident, multidimensional, socially responsible and globally competitive individuals. In addition, the university produces high-quality scientific research that will contribute to technological and economic development in the region. Administrativeteaching assistant Tina Gegovska graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at International Balkan University in Skopje, at the department of Industrial Engineering. She continued her Master’s degree there and she is currently working on her Master thesis. Moreover, she has also graduated from the Faculty of Philology at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, at the department of English Language and Literature, and this year she will also defend her Master thesis in the field of English Language and Didactics.
She has participated in several non-governmental organizations, like Multikultura and Loja in Tetovo, where issues of cultural diversity and intercultural communication were the main themes of discussion. She hasexperience in teaching asduring her studies and after her graduation from the Faculty of Philology, she was teaching English for more than a year. Furthermore, she worked as a content (Search Engine Optimization)writerand editor for an American company -Linkvana, and also as a freelance translator from Macedonian into English and vice-versa, which she continues doing up to date. Due to her love for mathematics and engineering, and her persistence to acquire new skills, she enrolled in the undergraduate studies of Industrial Engineering. After her graduation from the Faculty of Engineering at International Balkan University, she started working there as an Administrative Teaching Assistant at the Industrial Engineering department.
