The success story of the International Balkan University began in 2006. The Foundation for Education and Culture “USKUP” was founded by a group of intellectuals and academicians (scholars) to establish the INTERNATIONAL BALKAN UNIVERSITY as a cultural bridge between the Balkans and Turkey, with the intent of increasing the quality level of human capital in the region.
As a provider of high-quality education, International Balkan University has adopted the mission of educating self-confident, multidimensional, socially responsible and globally competitive individuals. In addition, the university produces high-quality scientific research that will contribute to technological and economic development in the region. Verica Dimova completed her undergraduate studies in English language and literature at the Ss Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. Verica Dimova completed her undergraduate studies in English language and literature at the Ss Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. She is currently working on her Master thesis on European Studies at the Faculty of Economics at the Ss Cyril and Methodius University and is also an MA student in Applied Linguistics at FON University. She taught English to students of all ages in several language schools in Skopje between 2004 and 2010. Between 2007-2010 she was a co-owner and a director of a private language school called Wizard EVC in Skopje, where she designed course syllabi for various kinds of language courses and successfully managed the school. She was also in charge of the translation work in the school she managed and was hired by many companies and individuals for various translation needs. In 2010 she started working at the International Balkan University in Skopje as an English language lecturer and has been here since then.
