Faculty of Law Hosts High-Level Session on Competition Law

Ass. Prof. Dr. Marta Vejseli, member of the Faculty of Law, delivered a special lecture on EU competition law, focusing on concentrations (Competition Law). The session provided students with a detailed legal framework, landmark EU case law, and practical illustrations of merger control across jurisdictions.

 

Ass. Prof. Dr. Vejseli was joined by Mrs. Valentina Nikolova, senior official at the Commission for Protection of Competition, who offered an in-depth overview of the application of competition law in North Macedonia. Her contribution included enforcement insights and selected national cases that deepened the students’ practical understanding of how legal principles are operationalized.

 

Also, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikola Dacev, Dean of the Faculty of Law at International Balkan University, delivered a welcoming speech.

 

The event concluded with an interactive discussion session, during which both speakers answered and discussed student questions.
