International Balkan University (IBU) continues to deepen its regional cooperation through high-level meetings in Serbia. Vice-Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Lökçe paid an official visit to the Mayor of Preshevo, Ms. Ardita Sinani, as well as Deputy Mayor Mr. Ragmi Mustafa.

The discussions focused on the role of higher education in fostering opportunities for young people from the Preshevo region. Particular emphasis was placed on creating joint projects that would enhance access to academic programs, encourage youth participation in research and development, and strengthen the link between education and the labor market.
Prof. Lökçe underlined IBU’s mission of building bridges between institutions in the Balkans, noting that partnerships with municipalities like Preshevo are crucial in advancing educational initiatives. Both sides agreed that closer cooperation will pave the way for innovative programs designed to empower the region’s youth.
The visit reaffirmed IBU’s commitment to regional collaboration, positioning the university as a hub for academic excellence and a partner in socio-economic development across the Balkans.
