IBU Vice-Rector Meets with Representatives of the Madrasa of the Preshevo Valley

International Balkan University (IBU) Vice-Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Lökçe met with representatives of the Madrasa of the Preshevo Valley, Serbia, to discuss opportunities for collaboration in education, youth development, and cultural initiatives. The meeting aimed to strengthen ties between IBU and local institutions, ensuring students from the region gain greater access to academic and professional growth.

 

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mehmet Sahiti, Head of the Islamic Community in Preshevo; Abdulla Abdiu, Coordinator of the Madrasa; Bejtulla Veseli, Secretary; Professors Zekirja Kurtishi, Artan Halimi, and Lulzim Hasani; and Musa Ramadani, Treasurer.

 

Lökçe was accompanied by IBU staff members Anita Rrustemi, Melisa Fejzuli, and Refik Hyseni.

 

During the meeting, both sides explored potential areas of collaboration, including academic projects, student engagement in educational initiatives, and the development of programs that foster professional and personal growth. The discussions highlighted the importance of linking the Madrasa with higher education institutions to ensure students from the Preshevo Valley gain greater access to quality education, practical training, and career preparation.

 

This meeting marked an important step in building sustainable partnerships between the Madrasa and IBU, laying the foundation for long-term collaboration that will benefit youth development and academic advancement across the region.
