International Balkan University (IBU) has formalised a new educational partnership with Maarif International High Schools in North Macedonia through the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation, reinforcing our institution’s proactive role in shaping academic collaboration in the region.

The memorandum was signed by our Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, and Mr. Osman Demirgül, Representative of the Turkish Maarif Foundation in North Macedonia.

The agreement outlines a comprehensive framework aimed at enhancing mutual support between the two institutions. Among its provisions are scholarship reductions for the children of IBU staff, as well as access to discounted medical services through our university’s medical faculty. In parallel, staff and alumni of Maarif International Schools will benefit from tailored scholarship opportunities at IBU.

As IBU, we regard such partnerships not as formalities, but as deliberate steps toward building a more interconnected and supportive academic landscape.
