The International Balkan University proudly launched this semester’s Work@Campus program with an engaging Orientation and Training Day, marking the official beginning of a new cycle of student engagement, learning, and professional growth. The event gathered this semester’s selected participants students who will take on diverse roles across university departments, contributing to IBU’s daily operations while developing essential workplace skills.

Our Vice Rector, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Lokçe, opened the event with an inspiring address, warmly welcoming the students and highlighting the importance of this initiative. He encouraged participants to approach the program not merely as a part-time job, but as a meaningful opportunity to learn, grow, and take initiative within the IBU community. He emphasized that Work@Campus is designed to help students understand the dynamics of professional responsibility, teamwork, and service, while deepening their connection with the university.

The program was organized by the Career Center, under the coordination of Asst. Prof. Dr. Ceneta Telak Durmishi, who introduced the structure, goals, and expectations of Work@Campus. She provided detailed guidance on the roles students will undertake, workplace ethics, and communication within teams, inspiring them to embrace accountability, cooperation, and proactive learning throughout the semester.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Recep Suleyman Ozdil, President of the Board of the University, for his continued support and dedication to student success. His personal sponsorship of the monthly student payments reflects a strong commitment to student empowerment and to creating opportunities that help students grow both personally and professionally.

The Work@Campus program represents a cornerstone of IBU’s student development strategy. It enables students to gain hands-on experience in administrative, academic, and service-oriented roles within the university, while building confidence, discipline, and a sense of contribution. Through this initiative, we aim to nurture not only skilled professionals, but also responsible, community-minded individuals ready to make a positive impact in their future careers.

As we continue to expand this program, we reaffirm our dedication to fostering a culture of learning, leadership, and collaboration.
Together, we continue to shape the leaders of tomorrow.
