IBU FEAS Students Explore Industry Practices at Çağatay Kablo in Bunardzhik Free Zone

Skopje, October 21, 2025 Students from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS) at the International Balkan University (IBU), under the supervision of their lecturer Özkan Baki, conducted an educational field visit to Çağatay Kablo, a prominent cable manufacturing company located in the Bunardzhik Free Customs Zone.

The visit aimed to provide students with firsthand exposure to industrial operations and international business practices. The delegation was cordially received by Mr. Habil Mustafai, Director of Çağatay Kablo, who delivered an informative presentation outlining the company’s production process, organizational structure, and global business strategy.

With a team of approximately 550 employees operating across Türkiye and North Macedonia, Çağatay Kablo is recognized for its advanced production technology, quality standards, and continuous investment in innovation. During the presentation, students learned about the company’s comprehensive workflow from product design and raw material sourcing to high-tech machinery and managerial coordination.

Mr. Mustafai also highlighted the strategic benefits of operating within a free customs zone, such as tax incentives, efficient logistics, and enhanced international competitiveness. The company further emphasized its commitment to local capacity building, investing in Macedonian professionals and fostering knowledge transfer between its regional teams.

Throughout the visit, students actively engaged in discussions on export VAT procedures, supply chain management, and career development opportunities in international trade and manufacturing sectors.
