International Balkan University (IBU), through its Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Association of Financial Institutions within the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia. This agreement marks an important step toward strengthening collaboration between academia and the financial industry in North Macedonia.
The Memorandum of Cooperation was officially signed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liza Alili Sulejmani, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at IBU, and Mr. Blagoja Ustijanoski, President of the Association of Financial Institutions within the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia. The partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic research and the practical needs of the financial sector, with a particular focus on areas such as banking, finance, fintech, and financial management.
During the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liza Alili Sulejmani and Asst. Prof. Dr. Elena Parnardzieva Stanoevska, together with Mr. Blagoja Ustijanoski and Mrs. Antoneta Manova Stavreska, Project Manager of the Association, held a constructive discussion outlining the framework for future cooperation. The dialogue emphasized the development of specialized training programs, joint research initiatives, and analytical activities aimed at enhancing financial literacy and promoting greater financial inclusion within the community.
Through this collaboration, both institutions will work together to create opportunities for IBU students to engage directly with the financial sector through internships, guest lectures, and applied research projects. The agreement will also enable the design of specialized courses and workshops tailored to meet emerging industry needs, preparing students for successful careers in finance and related disciplines.
