Our Erasmus Office successfully concluded a wide-ranging series of Erasmus+ activities, bringing together teaching, training, promotional engagements, and international collaboration initiatives across the university.
As part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobilities for Teaching and Training, our Erasmus Office hosted visiting academics who delivered lectures on contemporary global and disciplinary topics, including Türkiye’s Foreign Policy in the 21st Century, Cybersecurity Challenges and Threats in Poland, and The Role of Grammar as a Dynamic Skill Area in Teaching Turkish to Foreigners. These sessions offered enriching perspectives and contributed significantly to the academic experience of our students and staff.
Beyond the lectures, the mobility program included a series of professional meetings with various IBU units and departments, such as the IT Team, Balkan University Press, the English Language Teaching Department, the Office of the Secretary General, and the Halkbank Library. These discussions focused on strengthening administrative cooperation, exploring new academic initiatives, and identifying opportunities for future international collaboration. Through these engagements, we continue to position IBU as a dynamic environment for knowledge exchange, innovation, and cross-cultural learning.
Complementing the teaching and training activities, our Erasmus Office organized promotional sessions highlighting opportunities for international mobility and academic cooperation. The Projects and Research Office presented its ongoing projects and partnerships, while Balkan University Press introduced publishing possibilities for academic staff, including book projects and journal submissions. Representatives from partner universities also presented their programs, research opportunities, and avenues for collaboration. The sessions concluded with a University Promotional Fair, where students explored Erasmus+ mobility options and gained insight into studying at partner institutions abroad.
This cycle of activities was formally concluded with a closing ceremony celebrating the achievements of participating staff. Certificates were awarded in recognition of their engagement throughout the program’s lectures, meetings, and promotional events. Closing remarks were delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mare Ushkovska, Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator, and Ms. Nalan Adem, incoming staff coordinator, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth and successful implementation of all activities.
Through these comprehensive Erasmus+ initiatives, we continue to affirm our commitment to global engagement, international collaboration, and the professional development of our academic community.
