The event opened with remarks from the Head of the Turkish Language Teaching Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ekrem Destanov, followed by a keynote lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Secaattin Tural, a distinguished faculty member of the department.

During the conference, Prof. Dr. Tural explored the boundaries of literary studies, addressing how literature is defined, what falls outside its scope, and how contemporary approaches reshape our understanding of textual interpretation.
