We visited the State School for Visually Impaired Children and Youth “Dimitar Vlahov” through our Department of Psychological Counseling and Guidance, in cooperation with our Psychology and Education Student Club, strengthening our commitment to inclusive community engagement and socially responsible learning. By connecting directly with pupils and educators in a setting that highlights the importance of accessibility and support, we created a meaningful opportunity for our students to contribute with sensitivity and purpose, while reinforcing the values that shape our university culture, empathy, respect, and active citizenship.

Together with the pupils and accompanied by Asst. Sonaj Bilal, we took part in an arts and crafts workshop where we created ornaments and decorations for the school’s New Year’s Bazaar, turning a simple activity into a shared experience built on cooperation and mutual encouragement. Through hands-on creativity and warm interaction, we fostered collaboration, communication, and genuine connection in a positive and inclusive atmosphere, while also supporting the school’s festive initiative with practical contribution. Our students engaged with care and attentiveness, learning how thoughtful participation and human connection can make community projects more impactful and meaningful for everyone involved.

Through initiatives like this, we continue to promote empathy, inclusion, and strong connections between our students and the wider community, ensuring that learning extends beyond the classroom into real experiences that build character and social awareness. We remain dedicated to encouraging student involvement in activities that support vulnerable groups, celebrate diversity, and strengthen community ties through purposeful partnership. As we move forward, we will continue creating opportunities that allow our students to grow as compassionate professionals and responsible individuals, while contributing to a more inclusive and supportive society.
