We successfully concluded a highly impactful session of our IBU Legal Clinic within the Faculty of Law, where our students actively engaged in in-depth discussions on recent regional cases involving juvenile perpetrators and victims. Through structured, case-based analysis, we created a dynamic learning environment that enabled our students to examine juvenile legal responsibility, applicable sanctions, and the broader institutional and societal obligations in safeguarding children’s rights, reinforcing our commitment to practice-oriented legal education.
As part of this hands-on academic activity, we guided our students in preparing a Manifesto for Child Protection, reflecting their analytical skills, legal awareness, and strong sense of professional responsibility. This exercise allowed our students to translate theoretical knowledge into concrete legal and ethical positions, demonstrating their dedication to upholding the best interests of the child while engaging critically with contemporary legal challenges.
The event was further enriched by an online interview with Doc. Dr. Cengiz Apaydin, a Public Prosecutor from Türkiye specializing in juvenile crime, whose professional insights and practical experience provided significant added value to the learning process. As the final Legal Clinic event of the Fall Semester 2025/2026, this session highlighted the essential role of experiential learning in our law programs, and we proudly thank all contributors for their dedication to the continued success and academic excellence of the IBU Legal Clinic.
