Today, we welcomed the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic, Iveta Hricova, to International Balkan University for a meaningful diplomatic and academic visit that reflects our commitment to international engagement and constructive global dialogue. We were pleased to host Ambassador Hricova on our campus as part of our ongoing efforts to expand institutional connections and build partnerships that enrich the educational environment we provide for our students and academic community. Such visits are significant for IBU because they reinforce our role as a bridge between cultures and institutions, supporting a university ecosystem where international perspectives directly contribute to learning, research, and professional development.
During her visit, Ambassador Hricova met with our Rector, Prof. Lütfi Sunar, and our Vice Rector, Asst. Prof. Ahmet Lökce, for a productive exchange focused on academic engagement and future cooperation. We discussed shared interests in strengthening ties between academic communities, exploring avenues for collaboration that can support student mobility, cultural exchange, and joint initiatives aligned with higher education priorities. In line with IBU’s emphasis on quality education and internationalization, this meeting underscored the importance of sustained dialogue with diplomatic representatives and partner countries as we continue to broaden opportunities for our students and advance our institutional capacity for globally oriented scholarship.
We sincerely thank Ambassador Hricova for her kind visit and for the thoughtful conversation that supports stronger international relations and mutual understanding. We value the opportunity to further develop cooperation that benefits our academic community and enhances IBU’s global presence through responsible, forward-looking engagement. As we continue to strengthen our international partnerships, we remain dedicated to creating meaningful pathways for collaboration that contribute to student development, academic excellence, and a vibrant campus culture shaped by international cooperation.
