We successfully hosted the panel titled “Transforming Higher Education with AI: Ethics, Pedagogy, Research and Institutional Futures,” organized by our IBU Teaching and Learning Center, bringing together leading academics to examine one of the most critical and rapidly evolving topics in global education. As artificial intelligence continues to reshape learning environments worldwide, we created a dynamic platform on our campus to explore its ethical implications, pedagogical transformations, research applications, and long-term institutional impact. Through this timely initiative, we once again demonstrated our proactive approach to academic innovation and our commitment to guiding higher education through technological advancement with responsibility and vision.

Moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Igbale Miftari Fetishi, the panel featured distinguished speakers who offered in-depth perspectives on the opportunities and responsibilities emerging from AI integration. Prof. Dr. Kire Sharlamanov and Prof. Dr. Bejtulla Demiri addressed the ethical foundations of AI usage, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding academic integrity while leveraging technological tools to enhance research processes. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ervin Domazet examined the strategic implications of AI for institutional structures, outlining forward-looking visions that position universities as adaptive and resilient knowledge hubs. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Kirjakovski focused on the pedagogical dimension, sharing expert insights on how AI can be effectively integrated into teaching methodologies and research environments to enrich student learning experiences and strengthen academic outcomes.

The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session that actively engaged both faculty members and students, reinforcing our culture of open dialogue and collaborative inquiry. By addressing the ethical, strategic, and educational dimensions of artificial intelligence in a comprehensive manner, we reaffirmed our dedication to quality education, innovation, and responsible digital transformation. As we continue to lead conversations on emerging global trends, we remain committed to equipping our academic community with the knowledge, critical awareness, and forward-thinking mindset necessary to shape the future of higher education at IBU and beyond.
