IBU Hosted the Opening of “Palestine Through the Language of the Brush” Exhibition in Skopje

International Balkan University hosted the opening ceremony of the exhibition titled “Palestine Through the Language of the Brush”, organized by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) in Skopje.

The exhibition features artworks created by Palestinian students, as well as paintings brought directly from Palestine. Through these works, it reflects lived experiences, resilience, and hope, conveying powerful messages through the universal language of art.

 

Official Opening Ceremony

 

The opening ceremony was attended by Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, President of the Board of Trustees of the Ilim Yayma Foundation; Abdulhadi Turus, President of YTB; Abdullah Eren, President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA); and the Rector of International Balkan University, Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, along with numerous invited guests.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, participants toured the exhibition and received detailed information about the artistic themes and the stories behind the works.

 

Art as Testimony and Responsibility

 

“Palestine Through the Language of the Brush” presents the humanitarian reality in Palestine through the perspective of young and contemporary artists. The exhibition highlights that art not only documents history but also preserves collective memory and keeps the global conscience alive.

By hosting this meaningful exhibition, International Balkan University reaffirmed its commitment to cultural awareness, humanitarian sensitivity, and global responsibility within the academic environment. The University continues to support initiatives that promote dialogue, solidarity, and shared human values through art and education.
