On February 27, we proudly organized a meaningful visit to the Yücelciler Monument with our Department of Turkish Language Teaching at the Faculty of Education, reaffirming our commitment to preserving cultural heritage and honoring historical legacy. Dedicated to the memory of the Yücelciler who made significant efforts to preserve Turkish culture and language in Macedonia, the monument stands as a powerful symbol of resilience, identity, and devotion to education and cultural continuity. Through this commemorative visit, we strengthened our connection to the historical foundations that continue to shape our academic mission and cultural responsibility.

The visit was attended by the Head of the Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ekrem Destanov, alongside faculty members and students, reflecting our collective respect for the values upheld by the Yücelciler. By engaging our students directly in such meaningful initiatives, we reinforced the importance of cultural awareness, historical consciousness, and social responsibility within teacher education. We believe that understanding the sacrifices and contributions of past generations is essential in preparing future educators who will carry forward the principles of language preservation, cultural dialogue, and academic dedication.

Through this initiative, we once again demonstrated our role not only as an institution of higher education but also as a guardian of cultural memory and community values. We remain committed to organizing activities that connect our academic programs with historical reflection and societal engagement, ensuring that our students develop both professional competence and a deep appreciation of cultural identity. By honoring the legacy of the Yücelciler, we continue to strengthen our mission of nurturing educators who contribute meaningfully to the preservation and advancement of language and culture in our region.
