We proudly hosted a financial education workshop organized by BISTLAB | Balkan Economy and Finance Laboratory in cooperation with representatives from Sparkasse Bank AD Skopje, bringing together our students who are eager to strengthen their financial literacy and gain deeper insight into contemporary financial practices. Through this initiative, we created an engaging learning environment where participants were introduced to essential concepts related to financial awareness, responsible financial decision-making, and the evolving dynamics of modern banking. By connecting academic learning with practical knowledge, we continue to support our students in developing competencies that are highly relevant in today’s rapidly changing economic landscape.
During the workshop, professional experts from the Marketing Department of Sparkasse Bank AD Skopje delivered an informative presentation, sharing valuable perspectives on financial services and highlighting the role of innovative digital platforms designed to promote financial education among young people. Through this interactive exchange, we enabled our students to better understand the importance of financial responsibility and digital financial tools, while also gaining insight into how financial institutions contribute to building a financially informed society. Such collaborations allow us to bridge the gap between theoretical education and real-world financial practices, further enriching the academic experience we provide at International Balkan University.
The program was formally opened by Assoc. Prof. Liza Alili Sulejmani, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS), while the closing remarks were delivered by Asst. Prof. Ahmet Lokce, Vice Rector of IBU. Moderated by Asst. Prof. Elena Parnardzieva Stanoevska, the workshop reflected our continuous commitment to strengthening financial literacy and fostering meaningful connections between our students and industry professionals. We also express our sincere gratitude to Sparkasse Bank AD Skopje, particularly to Mrs. Nadjira Usein Ago, Head of Sales Development Unit, for their valuable collaboration and support in organizing this event, which stands as another important step in BISTLAB’s mission to promote practical learning and meaningful industry engagement.
