We proudly hosted Turkologist Aleyna Malkoç at the Department of Turkish Language Teaching within our Faculty of Education, where we welcomed our students to an engaging and intellectually enriching guest lecture on our campus. Through this valuable academic activity, we once again demonstrated our commitment to creating dynamic learning environments that extend beyond traditional classroom settings, offering our students direct interaction with distinguished scholars and contemporary perspectives in their field of study.
During the lecture titled “The Shared Poetic Universe of the Turkic World,” we explored the common thematic and aesthetic elements that shape poetry across diverse regions of the Turkic world. Our guest speaker highlighted the deep poetic interconnectedness that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries, emphasizing how language, imagery, and cultural memory collectively contribute to a shared literary universe. This insightful discussion provided our students with a broader understanding of literary continuity and cultural dialogue, strengthening their academic foundation and critical thinking skills.
We strongly believe that such initiatives play a vital role in supporting the professional and intellectual development of our students, while also reinforcing our institutional dedication to academic excellence, cultural awareness, and international perspectives. By continuously organizing similar events, we aim to further enrich our educational environment, empower our future educators, and contribute to the preservation and advancement of shared cultural and literary heritage.
