IBU Architecture Students Visit Knauf Factory in Debar

Students from the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering at International Balkan University (IBU), accompanied by Asst. Prof. Marija Miloshevska Janakieska, Asst. Arbresha Ibrahimi, PhD, and Asst. Harika Shehabi, had the incredible opportunity to visit the Knauf factory in Debar. This field trip was part of the Architectural Structures II course, providing students with valuable hands-on experience.

During the visit, students attended an insightful presentation by David Risteski, who introduced them to Knauf's diverse range of systems and products. In addition, he demonstrated these systems on the real-life physical model, offering a tangible perspective on architectural materials.

Following the presentation, students explored several sections of the factory, where they observed the complete production process of gypsum-based products used in architecture and construction. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Knauf for their warm hospitality and for making this enriching experience possible.
