International Balkan University (IBU) had the distinct pleasure of hosting Dr. Sevim Suekinci, Chief Executive Officer of Acibadem Sistina, on an official visit aimed at deepening the collaboration between the two institutions.
The distinguished guests were welcomed by IBU Rector, Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, at the university’s main campus in Skopje. Joining the Rector were Vice Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Lökçe and Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyhan Murtezan Ibrahimi, who participated in the high-level meeting. Dr. Suekinci was accompanied by Mr. Emre Demirci, Director of Business Development at Acibadem Sistina.
Discussions revolved around a broad spectrum of topics, including academic development, the university’s institutional progress, and the strategic importance of fostering robust partnerships between higher education and the healthcare sector. The meeting reaffirmed both parties' commitment to cultivating long-term cooperation, with a shared vision for interdisciplinary growth and mutual support.
Following the meeting, the delegation was given a comprehensive tour of key IBU facilities. The visit included the state-of-the-art Medical Simulation Center, the Balkan Laboratories, the Balkan Dental Polyclinic, and the IBU Halkbank Library—each representing a cornerstone of IBU’s commitment to hands-on education and innovation.
This visit marks a pivotal step forward in strengthening the ties between IBU and Acibadem Sistina, laying the groundwork for collaborative initiatives in education, research, and healthcare services. Both institutions expressed enthusiasm for future joint projects that will enhance student experiences and contribute to the broader academic and medical landscape in the region.
