International Balkan University (IBU) has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Croatia Insurance – Life AD Skopje, marking a strategic alliance aimed at aligning academic insight with industry practice in the life insurance sector.

The agreement, formalized by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liza Alili Sulejmani, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at IBU, and Mr. Boban Tomeski, General Director of Croatia Insurance – Life AD Skopje, establishes a framework for sustained collaboration between the university and one of North Macedonia’s leading insurance providers.

This partnership reflects our commitment to bridging academic knowledge with the practical demands of the financial services industry. We aim to promote the exchange of expertise, launch joint initiatives, and support innovative projects that enhance financial literacy, strengthen risk management awareness, and foster digital and sustainable transformation in the life insurance sector.

During the signing, university representatives—including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liza Alili Sulejmani, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ceneta Telak Durmishi, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Elena Parnardzieva Stanoevska—met with Ms. Katerina Jordanovska Maneva, Manager for Marketing and Public Relations, and Mr. Goran Bozinovski, Manager of Croatia Academy, to outline the scope of future cooperation.

The collaboration will also provide students with direct industry exposure through internships, guest lectures, applied research opportunities, and the potential development of specialized academic courses designed in line with the evolving needs of the insurance and financial sectors.
