The course introduces underlying principles of artificial neural networks. Topics covered include simple perceptrons and adalines, linear and multi-layer networks. It describes the backpropagation algorithm, Hebbian learning and the belief propagation algorithm. Recurrent networks and non-supervised networks are studied.
