In today’s dynamic and ever-evolving labor market, it is essential for young people to adopt a proactive, reflective, and analytical approach to choosing a career path. Making informed decisions that align with personal qualities, interests, and abilities—while considering the shifting demands of the job market—is key to building sustainable and fulfilling careers. To support this need, our Professional Orientation and Career Counseling program is designed to prepare students to guide individuals in navigating their career journeys and achieving their professional goals.
The second cycle studies in Professional Orientation and Career Counseling are inherently interdisciplinary, integrating pedagogical, andragogical, psychological, and economic perspectives. This approach equips students with a broad foundation to understand and address the complex factors that influence career development. Through coursework in counseling theories, career development models, and assessment techniques, students gain the skills and knowledge needed to deliver effective, client-centered guidance.
Emphasizing ethical standards, cultural sensitivity, and advocacy, the program prepares graduates to empower individuals from diverse backgrounds to make informed and confident career decisions. The acquired competencies enable students to work successfully in a variety of settings—including formal and non-formal education, employment agencies, work organizations, career centers, youth services, and non-governmental organizations.
By blending theoretical knowledge with practical application, the program ensures that graduates are not only well-informed professionals, but also empathetic and adaptive advisors capable of contributing meaningfully to workforce development and lifelong career success.
