EDU 304 – Measurement and Evaluation; Weekly hours: 2+1, ECTS: 6
This course aims to enable the students to acquire skills required for measurement and evaluation of students and their work and knowledge. This implies becoming familiar with, and use of the instruments required for fair assessment, measurement and evaluation of the effort they give and the knowledge that students acquire. The course contents are: Introduction; The necessity of the measurement and evaluation of knowledge in the teaching process; Concepts for measurement and evaluation; Objectives of the measurement and evaluation; Levels of measurement and evaluation; Tests as a tool for measurement and evaluation; Use of statistic techniques in the measurement and evaluation of knowledge; Evaluation and teaching programs; Tests of intelligence; Tests of performances; Interpretation of the results from the tests; Use of information technology in the measurement and evaluation.
