The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with contemporary literary criticism and various techniques and strategies for independent reading. They will learn to use theoretical tools to critically evaluate literary texts and become responsible, interculturally aware / sensitive to readers. Course Contents: The basic history of world literature; most important genres in literature, basic skills of close reading of texts; Classification largest literary texts western cannons; genres between literary traditions; literary analysis to increasingly choose texts.
