ENG 305 Teaching young learners (II) Weekly hours: 2+1, ECTS: 4
The objectives of the course are as follows: to introduce teaching EFL to the different groups of learners;  to discuss important issues of planning for young learners, teenagers and adults,  such as knowing the learners, their characteristics, class management and atmosphere, teaching the different skills to all groups of learners, the integrated skills approach, adopting different authentic materials for tasks, planning activities that are suitable for the learners, group work and pair work, classroom observation,  etc. Also, a distinction between the three groups of learners and a closer approach towards them all (in similarities, differences, management and teaching) etc. will be covered. Students will have the opportunity to plan for all three groups of learners and to present in front of their colleagues different tasks of teaching, activities, and to establish classroom instruction with all the major elements which are needed and required.
