Students of the Faculty of Law guided by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nikola Dacev visited the First Instance Civil Court in Skopje on 18th of December 2019.
During the visit, the law students had the opportunity to learn about the activities and manner of work of the Civil Court and to attend court hearings in the field of civil relations with Judges Jehona Sadiku and Daniela Minovska.
Through the ongoing trials they attended, the students were introduced to the need of developing skills for verbal reasoning, rhetoric, presentation of facts and allegations as a reality of the litigation process. Also, the students learned about the types of civil disputes the First Instance Civil Court is competent for and the variety of procedural actions the subjects of the procedure may undertake. Upon completion of the court hearings, the students expressed great satisfaction by the gained experience and showed an interest in attending court hearings more frequently and familiarizing themselves with the practical aspects of the subject matter they are studying within the course Law of Obligations.
IBU will continue to organize practical visits of state institutions in the future in order to enable students to get acquainted with these institutions and their work in practice.
