Prof. Dr. Dugagjin Hasimja, and Prof. Dr. Bujar Demjaha, two well-known architects and professors from Prishtina, Kosovo, delivered guest lectures for the students of the Faculty of Engineering on 19th December 2019.
Prof. Dr. Dugagjin Hasimja’s topic was “The typology of residential buildings in Prishtina – Kosovo”. During his presentation, he reviewed the spatial and urban development of some selected districts in Prishtina from the 60s until now, explaining the morphological evolution of residential building typology.
Prof Dr. Bujar Demjaha’s talked on “Rural tourism as a tool of rural development”, and through specific examples and strategies, he elaborated bottom-up solutions on rural areas growth and development founded on long-term sustainable solutions.
Students and academic staff at FENG expressed great interest in the lectures, especially thinking and working more on long-term solutions and rising the living quality.
