The study programs of the third cycle of studies (doctoral studies) at the International Balkan University last three academic years and carry 180 ECTS credits.
The list of accredited mentors, as well as the structure of study programs from the third cycle of studies (doctoral studies), is published at the University’s website.
ADMISSION CRITERIA
The persons who meet the following criteria shall be entitled to the right to enroll in the third cycle of studies (doctoral studies):
- Completed second cycle of studies with at least 300 ECTS credits;
- Achieved average grade from previously completed higher education (first and second cycle studies) of at least 8.00;
- Completed relevant previous higher education in the same or related scientific field with the study program of the third cycle of studies (doctoral studies) covered by this Call.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language (min. B1 level according to CEFR) for the study programs that are conducted in English.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
Candidates applying for the call shall submit:
- Motivation letter;
- Short biography in Macedonian and English;
- Diplomas for completed first and second cycle of studies (original or notarized copy);
- Transcript of passed exams from the first and second cycle of studies proving the completed previous higher education and achieved average success (in original or notarized copy);
- For completed previous higher education abroad, it is obligatory to submit decisions for notarization of acquired qualifications (in original or a copy certified by a notary);
- A copy of the master’s thesis in electronic form,
- Copy of certificate of English language proficiency,
- Identification document (copy of ID card or passport).
Incomplete candidate applications will not be considered.
RANKING OF THE CANDIDATES
The ranking of the registered candidates is carried out by evaluating the following criteria:
- Work experience in the same or related field with the study program provided for in this Call;
- Scientific publications and participation in international conferences;
- Master’s thesis of the second cycle of studies.
- Total average success (GPA) from the first and second cycle of studies
TUITION FEE
The tuition fee for studying at the presented faculties and study programs for students from the Republic of North Macedonia and the countries of the Balkan region amounts to EUR 2,000 (in Denar equivalent) for one academic year. For students from other countries, the tuition fee is EUR 3,000 (in Denar equivalent) for one academic year. The tuition fee includes all expenses for study, use of literature, taking exams and research activities within the university campus of MBU. Payment can be made in four instalments.
