PCG 401 – Individual and Group Counseling Practice; Weekly hours: 2+1, ECTS: 6
This course will enable the students to become familiar with, and understand counseling as prevention, management and coping with problems. In this regard, students will become familiar with the most influential theories of individual counseling and group counseling, the models obtained from them and the new practice. This course contains following topics: Introduction; Basic concepts in individual counseling; Implementation of concepts in individual counseling; Basic concepts in group counseling; The relation between individual and group counseling; The relation between individual and group counseling; The relation between theory and practice in the individual and group counseling; Therapeutic approaches; Therapeutic techniques; Implementation of advisory sessions; Observation of therapeutic sessions.
