This course aims to introduce to students psycholinguistics and explain how we understand produce and adopt new languages on the individual level, in light of cognitive and neurosciences and certainly cultural influences. Course Contents: The course contains the following topics: Introduction to psycholinguistics, fundamentals of linguistics, language perception, comprehension and memory of sentences, discourse and memory, language production, conversation and interaction, adopting a first and second language, language, culture and cognition, biological bases of speech and language with emphasis on aphasia, lateralization, and the evolution, scientific research methods in psycholinguistics.
