Bilal Sucubasi

President of the Management Board

Dr. Bilal Sucubaşı was born in Darende, Malatya, in 1972. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Erciyes University. He continued his academic studies in the Department of Business Administration (Management and Organization) in Malatya at İnönü University, where he earned both his master’s degree and doctorate degree.

Dr. Sucubaşı began his professional career as a teacher in Darende and later served as an intern at Counseling Finance in Malatya. He subsequently held various positions within the banking sector, including Clerk at the Darende Branch, Deputy Head of the Directorate of Organization, Branch Manager in Aksaray/Ortaköy, Director of Individual Marketing at the Regional Coordination Center in Diyarbakır, Manager of Corporate Marketing, Director of the Commercial Branch in Mersin, and Director of the Department of Corporate Marketing at Halkbank, Turkey.

As of December 26, 2017, Dr. Sucubaşı served as the President of the Board of Directors of Halkbank AD Skopje.

In the last quarter of 2025, Dr. Sucubaşı resigned from his position at Halkbank AD Skopje and was appointed as Chief Executive Officer (General Manager) of Halk Katılım Bank.

Having served for many years as Deputy President of the Management Board at IBU, He was appointed as President of the Management Board of IBU as of February 2026.
