Course Objectives: This course deals with the fundamental philosophical, ethical and historical questions on intersection of religion and science. It will examine the problems of whether religion and science provide seperate and compatibe world views, and of whether religion or religious sources might influence science or vice versa. Particularly paying attention the various schools of understanding within the religions of Christianity, Judaism and Islam as well as the perspectives of various scholars this course aims the student to be aware of debate on relationship between religion and science. At the end of course, the students will be able to; – examine philosophical, ethical and historical questions at the intersection of religion and science.
