This Fall, we proudly welcomed 22 Erasmus+ students to International Balkan University for the Fall 2025 semester. Our new students have joined us from France, Germany, Spain, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and Venezuela, bringing with them a wonderful mix of cultures, perspectives, and experiences that enrich our IBU community.
To help them begin their journey, we organized an Erasmus+ Info Day through our International Relations Office (IRO). The event aimed to introduce our incoming students to IBU’s academic structure, rules, and support services, as well as to help them feel at home on campus.
The session opened with a presentation by Asst. Prof. Mare Ushkovska, Institutional Erasmus+ Coordinator, who provided valuable information about university procedures, course registration, and academic expectations. Her presentation reflected our dedication to creating a smooth and supportive transition for every international student who joins IBU.
A warm welcome followed from Ms. Nalan Adem, Incoming Mobilities Officer, who encouraged students to take full advantage of their Erasmus+ experience both academically and socially while exploring Skopje and engaging in IBU’s vibrant student life.
After the Info Day, we guided our guests on a campus tour led by the Head of the International Relations Office. During the tour, students had the chance to visit some of IBU’s key facilities, including the digital attendance system, the newly established BISTLab, Halkbank Library, Balkan Laboratories, Balkan Dental Polyclinic, our open-air amphitheater, and the soon-to-be-unveiled sports courts.
The day was filled with positive energy, new friendships, and excitement for the semester ahead. We believe that these Erasmus+ students will not only gain valuable academic experience but also contribute to the spirit of collaboration and intercultural dialogue that define our university.
At International Balkan University, we remain committed to fostering international mobility, diversity, and lifelong learning. We are excited for the semester ahead and look forward to the ideas, perspectives, and cultural richness our new Erasmus+ students will bring to IBU.
