On February 27, 2026, we organized a study visit to the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia in Skopje for our third-year students from the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering (FENG), within the framework of the course Architectural Design 5. The visit was conducted under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Arbresha Ibrahimi and Asst. Harika Shehabi, as part of the semester’s practical course activities. By facilitating this academic engagement within one of the country’s most significant institutional buildings, we once again demonstrated our commitment to delivering an education that extends beyond the classroom and into real-world contexts of professional relevance.

During the visit, we enabled our students to closely examine the spatial organization, institutional function, and architectural values of the Assembly building. Through direct observation and analytical exploration, our students gained valuable insight into how architectural design interacts with governance, symbolism, and public function. This hands-on experience allowed us to strengthen the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical application, reinforcing our approach to architectural education as both conceptually rigorous and contextually grounded. By engaging with a building of such institutional importance, we enriched our students’ understanding of architecture as a discipline that shapes civic identity and supports democratic processes.

Through initiatives such as this study visit, we continue to prioritize experiential learning as a core element of our academic philosophy. We remain dedicated to equipping our architecture students with the analytical skills, professional awareness, and critical perspective necessary to contribute meaningfully to the built environment. By consistently connecting academic theory with authentic professional settings, we reaffirm our role as a leading institution committed to quality education, innovation in design thinking, and the comprehensive development of future architects.
