We hosted the Local ELTAM MK English Language Competition on our campus on 14 March 2026, welcoming around 100 high school students from Skopje who gathered to demonstrate their English language skills in a dynamic academic environment. Organized by ELTAM MK and hosted by International Balkan University, the event created an engaging platform where talented students could test their knowledge, challenge themselves academically, and experience the atmosphere of a university setting. By opening our doors to young learners, we once again reinforced our commitment to supporting educational initiatives that promote language learning, academic curiosity, and student development.

Throughout the competition, students from our English Language Teaching (ELT) Department within the Faculty of Education played an active role as invigilators during the English test. This involvement provided our students with valuable hands-on experience in observing and supporting the organization of a formal language competition, allowing them to gain practical insights into assessment processes and educational event coordination. By participating in such activities, our future educators strengthened their professional competencies while contributing to a meaningful academic event that brought together secondary education and higher education communities.

This collaboration between ELTAM MK and our Faculty of Education reflects our shared dedication to promoting excellence in language education and fostering academic engagement among young learners. Building on the success of the local round, we will continue this partnership by hosting the winners of the Local ELTAM contest for the upcoming regional competition at our university. Through initiatives like this, we remain committed to strengthening educational cooperation, supporting talented students, and providing platforms that encourage academic growth and international-minded learning experiences.
