We successfully organized the “Animation Kickstart” workshop on our campus in collaboration with Flip Book Productions and Eko Svest, bringing together high school students and our own Faculty of Art and Design students for an engaging and educational experience. Through this initiative, we created a dynamic learning environment where participants explored the fundamentals of animation through both theoretical insights and hands-on practice. By connecting creativity with sustainability, we once again demonstrated our commitment to innovative education and meaningful community engagement.
During the workshop, Prof. Krste Gospodinovski introduced participants to the concept of eco-animation, guiding them through flipbook creation and stop-motion techniques using reusable and sustainable materials. The session was led by Assoc. Prof. Goce Gospodinovski, Asst. Aleksandra Hadji Naumova, Student Assistant Berta Milevska, and student Nikola Zivkovski, whose collaborative approach ensured an interactive and inspiring learning process. The workshop welcomed students from DSULD Lazar Licenovski, Gymnasium “Dr. Ibrahim Temo” – Struga, as well as IBU FAD students, all of whom actively engaged in developing character sheets and producing cut-out animations with an environmentally conscious perspective.
Through this workshop, we strengthened the connection between artistic expression, environmental awareness, and practical skill development, offering participants a unique opportunity to learn by doing. As a continuation of this initiative, we invited participants to submit their own eco-awareness flipbooks, further encouraging creativity beyond the classroom. We remain dedicated to organizing such impactful activities that empower young talents, promote sustainability, and reinforce our role as a leading institution in fostering innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking education.
