We recently organized an educational visit for our students from the Department of Architecture to the mine and the Knauf Factory in Debar, providing them with a valuable opportunity to engage directly with real-world industrial environments. As part of the Architectural Structures course, and under the dedicated guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marija Miloshevska Janakieska, Asst. Faton Kalisi, and Student Assistant Hakim Kaya, we ensured that our students experienced firsthand the processes that shape modern construction materials and systems. This visit reflects our continuous commitment to enriching academic learning through practical exposure and strengthening the connection between education and industry.

During the visit, we introduced our students to the complete production process of gypsum boards and other gypsum-based products, while also familiarizing them with Knauf systems and detailed construction applications. Through direct observation and interaction with professionals in the field, we enabled our students to deepen their understanding of innovative materials, contemporary building technologies, and structural solutions used in today’s architecture. This hands-on experience allowed us to enhance their analytical and technical skills, supporting their academic development with meaningful, practice-oriented knowledge.

We believe that experiences such as this play a crucial role in preparing our future architects to design responsibly, think critically, and confidently address real-world challenges. By integrating industry collaboration into our academic framework, we continue to advance our mission of delivering high-quality, practice-based education that fosters innovation and professional readiness. We sincerely thank Knauf Company for their warm welcome, professional support, and for sharing their valuable expertise with our students, and we look forward to continuing such impactful collaborations in the future.
