We had the honor of hosting a distinguished guest lecture at the Halkbank Library, where Dora Popova Uzunovski, Psychologist, Psychotherapist, PhD Candidate, Career Counsellor, and Assistant at MIT University Skopje, delivered a thought-provoking presentation titled “Therapists as Influencers: Ethical Collapse or Evolution?”. Through this event, we once again demonstrated our commitment to creating spaces for critical academic dialogue and addressing contemporary topics that shape both professional practice and society.
During the lecture, we engaged students and participants in an in-depth exploration of the growing presence of therapists in the digital space, examining whether this visibility represents a progressive step toward greater accessibility and awareness, or raises important ethical questions related to professional boundaries and integrity. The session encouraged active participation and reflection, allowing attendees to critically assess the evolving role of mental health professionals in an increasingly digital world, while strengthening their understanding of ethical responsibility in the field.
As we approach Mental Health Awareness Month, this lecture held particular significance in emphasizing the importance of self-care, the development of strong support systems, and the vital role of education in promoting mental well-being. Through such initiatives, we continue to support our students’ academic and personal growth, fostering awareness, responsibility, and resilience. We remain dedicated to organizing impactful events that contribute to a more informed, empathetic, and professionally prepared academic community.
