We continued to strengthen our role as a leading institution in international academic collaboration and knowledge sharing through our active participation in the Balkan Youth School Program, organized within the framework of the Konya Selçuklu Municipality Youth Academy. As part of our commitment to student-centered scholarly initiatives and global academic engagement, two distinguished members of our faculty represented our university in a full day of lectures and academic exchange. Throughout the program, we directly engaged with students through a comprehensive conference series dedicated to the Balkans, contributing valuable academic perspectives on the political, economic, and social dynamics shaping the region.

Our Vice-Rector, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Lökçe, delivered an insightful presentation titled “New Horizons in the Political Economy of the Balkans: Innovation and Regional Transformation Paradigms at the EU-Eurasia Crossroads,” where we explored the strategic importance of the Balkan region as a bridge between the European Union and Eurasian geopolitical spheres. Through this contribution, we highlighted the region’s evolving economic transformation processes, innovation potential, and its positioning within the broader global landscape. In parallel, Asst. Prof. Dr. Flamur İsmaili presented “Democratization and Ethnic Politics in the Balkans: Historical and Contemporary Dynamics Through the Case of North Macedonia,” where we provided a comprehensive analysis of democratization processes, focusing on historical developments, political representation, and ongoing challenges influencing democratic consolidation in the Western Balkans.

Through this dynamic and interactive program, we created meaningful opportunities for dialogue between academia and youth, enabling students to engage with contemporary academic discourse and develop a deeper understanding of regional complexities. The strong interest shown by participants and the interactive nature of the sessions further enriched the learning environment, reflecting our dedication to academic excellence and intellectual exchange. By actively contributing to such international platforms, we continue to expand our global academic presence, reinforce our commitment to innovation and collaboration, and advance our mission of fostering knowledge that transcends borders and empowers future generations.
