We marked the exciting opening of Spring Fest ’26 with a dynamic and engaging first day that brought together energy, creativity, and a strong sense of community across our campus. The official start of the festival was honored by the presence of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, alongside our Vice Rectors and General Secretariat, whose attendance underscored the importance of student-centered initiatives and campus life at International Balkan University. Through this vibrant opening, we once again demonstrated our commitment to fostering an inclusive, lively, and supportive academic environment where students can thrive both academically and socially.

We organized this year’s Spring Fest through the dedicated efforts of our Student Wellbeing Center team, including Asst. Muhammed Fatih Kaytan and Asst. Sezer Ferhad, in collaboration with Work@Campus members Aysima Genç and Okan Koç, and in close coordination with our student clubs. The program featured an exciting range of activities, from live performances by local bands and a DJ set that energized the atmosphere, to interactive stands hosted by the Psychology and Education Club, International Student Office, Dental Club, Career Center, CAPS, and a creative T-shirt and handbag design stand realized in collaboration with Ambar Clothing Shop. Students actively participated in e-sports mini tournaments, a paint battle, an archery tournament followed by an awards ceremony, a fashion show, and a karaoke tournament, while an alumni gathering added further value by strengthening connections within our broader IBU community.

We concluded the day with an outdoor movie night, providing a relaxed and enjoyable closing to a full and engaging schedule of events, while recognizing the achievements of our students through medal and award ceremonies organized by the Student Wellbeing Center and IBU Shop. Through Spring Fest ’26, we continue to reinforce our dedication to student engagement, creativity, and community building, creating meaningful experiences that extend beyond the classroom. As the festival continues with its second day, we remain committed to delivering memorable moments and encourage our community to stay connected and engaged through the upcoming activities.
